Our Approach

CDS uses structured ways of working and current technology to support safe, organised care. The aim is to help practices and patients with dependable services, without replacing the clinical relationship between a patient and their own practice.

Clinical Expertise

Coding and document work involves clinical pharmacists, senior GPs and experienced coders. Ultrasound is carried out by sonographers, with reporting support from the clinical team.

Agreed protocols

Actions follow CDS protocols and the protocols a practice shares. Work is designed to fit existing practice pathways rather than replace them.

Technology & Innovation

Remote primary care support uses secure access arrangements, described by CDS as NHS-approved access software. Specific clinical systems are confirmed with each practice.

Patient Focus

Ultrasound appointments are organised around clear communication, comfort and timely reporting back to the patient’s registered practice.

Quality & Governance

CDS treats clinical quality, confidentiality and data protection as part of everyday work. Patient information is handled in line with data protection and GDPR requirements.
